(Cairo) Gaza Freedom Marchers are protesting NOW in front of the Israeli consulate (close to Giza Zoo) for the end of the siege of Gaza. About five hundred internationals from over 43 countries have made this the focal point of their final action, after the Egyptian government had denied them entry into Gaza. Protesters are chanting "Stop the occupation" and "Boycott Israel". They are concerned about the impunity Israel enjoys in their home countries and are calling for their governments to hold Israel accountable for the alleged war crimes Israel is committing in Gaza and throughout Palestine.

There is heavy security presence outside the consulate, with Egyptian riot police surrounding the protestors. Local Egyptian passing by the protest wave in support and honk their horns. "We demand that Israel ends the siege of Gaza and that those responsible for this crime are put on trial " said Gael Murphy an American protestor, "in the new year we vow to continue the pressure on the US government so that it stops the military funding to Israel."
